Level Four contains a higher degree of 3D animation. The difference between levels 3 and 4 is that the learner is given control over an avatar to navigate an environment or perform task which are defined by the courses learning objectives. Some or all of the course may be designed with this functionality. In other words, learning objects may be communicated through levels 1, 2, or 3 style frames. The competency validation is performed using level 4 technology.
